Thankful is all we can say! Your kindness has reached 225 youth with the Boys & Girls Club of Morgan County this year with our mentoring, programs, and activities – guiding our kids toward academic success, healthful lifestyles, and developing lifelong good character. We are truly blessed by your kindness and thoughtful giving! Up to 106 youth and teens visit the Club every day. You are giving each of them a safe place when school is out, to grow and build the necessary skills for active citizenship and a plan for success after high school.

Our donors give for our Thanksgiving Dinner that provides for 75 youth with their grownups. A Club Thanksgiving is a traditional Thanksgiving that is stress-free for the kids and families who need us most. Our gathering gives families time to eat, connect, and relax together – a welcomed break from the pressures of the day. After dinner, families enjoy playing bingo for prizes and winning board games to take home and play together. Local youth are connecting with this tradition and will become our community’s future leaders, instilling the values of family-connectedness, active citizenship, giving back, and sharing gratitude. Thank you to TOA USA for donating our Thanksgiving turkey, City Changers for volunteering to serve, and Meijer for their generous support of A Club Thanksgiving!

Our first-ever Youth of The Year Breakfast was on October 25th! Many outstanding people generously gave their time and donated to support teens and after school programs specifically for young adults. Thank you to Daphne Coffey, our Youth of the Year, for a remarkable key-note address. Thank you to our sponsors and donors for your generosity and advocacy to make Great Futures, Whatever It Takes, at the Boys & Girls Club!

Thank you and Congratulations to Marion Adams Flooring Company, Youth of the Year Champion Sponsor.

Teen programming at the Boys & Girls Club is growing big. Our donors, volunteers, and partners are giving to support the only out-of-school program for teens in our community that is open 230 days per year, with curriculum and guidance specifically designed to benefit the healthful development of teenage youth. On November 23rd with the guidance of Kim Richter, BGC Teen Program Coordinator, 31 BGC Teens travelled to Martinsville in service to donate blankets to WellSpring Family Shelter and the Morgan County Humane Society.  Great Futures Start Here!
