Happy Feel Good Friday! Hope your Memorial Holiday Weekend was a time to recharge, remember, and renew. Thinking of and thankful for our service men and women for protecting our freedoms and nation fits perfectly with the re-opening of our national, state, and local economies & livelihoods. The sacrifice and service of those who went before us and the hope & opportunity that we create going forward, for me, means The Times Have Changed and Our Mission Remains the Same! Building Great Futures for America’s Youth, Whatever It Takes!

Making a welcomed and honored introduction of the Boys & Girls Club of Morgan County Staff Team! In partnership with our donors and volunteers, our staff team has grown to 15 Youth Development Professionals, working together this summer for the youth we serve. With safety foremost in mind, our staff to youth ratio will be 1 staff to 6 youth. The Club is open 10.5 hours per day to youth for the next 8 weeks. This is only possible through your donations, to give local youth the best and safest experience for summer growth and learning and to be guided by caring mentors. Our Team completed 30 hours of training this week, with facilitators volunteering from Franciscan Health, Department of Child Services, and Artists Paul & Barb North! Thank you for giving your expertise to build great futures!

Jen and Phil Taylor of The House Cafe in Mooresville! Gathering with the House Team is an experience of positivity, Faith, and delicious comfort meals. The House, together with their business partners provide relief meals for nurses, firefighters, and youth with the Boys & Girls Club. Such good works! Thank you to Phil, Jen, and team with The House!

Over the past months, our nation has faced a myriad of uncertainties as we grapple with the impact coronavirus has had on our lives and those around us. Our ability as a nation to put aside our differences and help our neighbor is something to be celebrated and not forgotten. With local and state primary elections upon us, it is time to share gratitude for those who hold and seek public service. Your good intent to serve the great good for all Hoosiers and your strength to lean-in and do the heavy lifting that our elected representatives and officials are tasked with doing is a higher calling. You cannot be thanked enough for all you do. The link given below is to the In.gov voter portal and gives overview to who all is on the ballots.
