Labor Day Holiday Greetings from Boys & Girls Club of Morgan County!

Thank you for your hard work and deep care for our community! We wish you a fun and safe Labor Day Holiday weekend to re-energize and connect with your family, friends, and neighbors! You cannot be thanked enough for all you do to advocate for ALL Morgan County Youth! Thank you to the American Legion for donating a new American Flag to the Boys & Girls Club and thank you to the Brown Township Trustee’s Office and Fire Department for allowing the Boys & Girls Club to adopt the flagpole at the old fire station. Our kids are honored and happy to raise and lower the Flag daily.

Do you recognize this location? Holiday World, Hawaii, The Ponderosa,…?  It’s the Boys & Girls Club thanks to Eagle Scout Tyler Kath. His Eagle Project this Summer included building a 16’ foot bridge for safe passage for our kids to the flagpole. The bridge also provides a safe exit route from the Club to the fire station in the event of any evacuation related emergency.  Thank you Tyler Kath, and the entire Kath Family & Friends for your outstanding service and Eagle Project!

More Good for Local Youth Means More Golf! Much Kudos and much gratitude for the good works and philanthropy from many remarkable people who volunteered and golfed this Summer to benefit the Boys & Girls Club! The 11th Annual Celebrity Golf Outing was an amazing and humbling day. Sponsors, celebrities, golfers, and volunteers donated more than $52,000 for local youth!   You can read all about the event AND see some great photographs on our website. https://bgcmorgan.org/2019-golf-outing-recap/

Thank you to the Links at Heartland Crossing! Your hospitality, deep caring for our community, generosity, and beautiful golf course are beyond compare! Thank you to Ron, Ryan, Amy, Bonnie and the Heartland Golf Team.

The Mooresville Kiwanis Club, 32nd Curry-Overton Memorial Golf Tournament, benefitted the Jackson Center, Churches in Mission, the League of Miracles, and the Boys & Girls Club of Morgan County! Thank you for your advocacy for all local youth, your dedicated service and philanthropy, and for your fellowship! You are deeply appreciated by our kids & families!

Bailey & Wood Financial Group played golf this Summer to support youth and youth serving charities! You are an uncommon and phenomenal group of professionals who truly care about people. Thank you for having the Spirit of Youth in your hearts and for always reaching out to the Boys & Girls Club!

Aiden is 9 years old and learning to read with extra help at the BGC. He is challenged by reading at a first-grade level. This Summer he worked at it every day at the Club. One day Aiden read three books in an hour with a BGC mentor, then he asked if he could just stay at the Club and read for the rest of the day.

Out-of-school time is a vital time for youth to engage socially (not virtually) in academic, health & wellness, and youth leadership programs with friends, peers, and mentors!  You, our donor, provide a safe place, caring adult mentors, snacks & meals, and nationally recognized programming for all youth, like Aiden with the Boys & Girls Club of Morgan County.

Join us Friday Moring 7:30 am to 9 am, October 25th for our Youth of the Year Breakfast!  — a friend-raising and fundraising breakfast to support Youth of the Year and teen programming!  This event is open to all friends of the Boys & Girls Club at no charge! Sponsorships are available from $135 to $10,000. There is no charge for guests to attend and youth artwork will be presented to all guests who pledge a $30 (and up) donation at the breakfast.

Guest registration is required and can be found on our website, www.bgcmorgan.org. Interested in becoming a Youth of the Year & Teen Programs sponsor? Contact Chris at 317-834-9744 or ctann@bgcofmorganco.org.

Thank you to Mt Gilead Church for their huge impact in our community with ServeMoore Day, such great work! Thank you to Carla for coordinating a fantastic inventory and supply organizing effort for the BGC with 40 ServeMoore volunteers! Carla our deepest thanks to you for volunteering and providing safe after school transportation to the Club every afternoon for so many young people!  Your friendship is our blessing!

Thank you, ALL, for your thoughtfulness, friendship, giving, and for advocating for all Morgan County youth! Have a fantastic Labor Day Holiday!

Sincerely,

Chris
