Greetings to the Friends of the Boys & Girls Club of Morgan County!
You are giving a fantastic Summer break to our Club kids! The Club is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 6 pm and as many as 52 members are visiting daily! You make the Club experience possible for all kids. Thank you!
Happy Independence Day!
Thank you to the Brown Township Fire Department for having our kids adopt the flagpole at the old fire station and thank you to the American Legion Post 103 for your service and sacrifice for our country and for donating our beautiful U.S. Flag! We raise, pledge, and lower our flag every day!
Friends like you give to the Boys & Girls Club of Morgan County in so many ways. Each way of giving makes positive impact in the lives of our kids and community, guiding each to reach their full potential to become caring, productive, responsible citizens. Thank you to SCI REMC Operation Round Up for funding new cafeteria tables for our kids! Thank you to First Merchants Bank Charitable Foundation for giving to our annual fund!
Volunteers visit the Club twice a week and lead the Summer ReadWithMe program which keeps kids building their reading skills. You cannot be thanked enough for empowering tomorrow’s leaders!
Morgan County Master Gardeners visit the Club weekly, for 5 straight years!!, teaching gardening, healthy eating habits, and teamwork. We are absolutely blessed by your friendship!
Congratulations to the Mooresville Chamber and Main Street Mooresville for an outstanding kick-off to Summer and community building with the Block Party and Concert Series. The BGC was honored to have a table at the event, alongside our partners in service for local youth, Mooresville Kiwanis Club and the Barbara B. Jordan YMCA!
Well, Independence Day comes with fireworks and this news lights up our blue skies and will be heard for miles and miles. Our partnership with Mt Gilead Church over the past year has provided many new opportunities for youth. More than 25 % of each day is used to develop active citizenship and healthy lifestyles. Our Triple Play program, sponsored by the Kendrick Hospital Foundation, is guiding youth to exercise more ( up to 2 hours per day), engage in more social recreation with peers ( not using one-to-one technology devices), and also educates youth on prevention skills to maintain healthful choices through life. Thank you to Mt Gilead for partnering on the perfect space in Mooresville for our kids to grow and become active citizens.
Thank you to our Great Futures Annual Campaign Volunteers and Great Futures Annual Campaign Donors! 14 Great Futures Volunteers have met with 72 local donors and have raised $58,800! Your heart for kids is so great and your advocacy for tomorrow’s leaders is inspiring.
Everyone can change the direction of a young person’s life through our Great Futures Annual Campaign. We have just $3,200 to go to achieve our campaign goal! Reach out to the Club, 317-834-9744 and ask for Chris or visit www.bgcmorgan.org , to sponsor a Club member this year.
Thank you for giving hope and opportunity for the kids who need us most through the Boys & Girls Club of Morgan County.
